46 viewsAnd again. The interior of the circle is to the left of this picture - they seem to keep this bit clear, but let trees etc. grow round the ramparts. "They" being the National Trust, presumably.
IMGP0346.JPG
49 viewsMore ramparts. You know when you use a familiar word a lot you realise how strange it is. Well, I've just had the same thing with "ramparts". Strange word. If you didn't know better you'd assume it was something unsavoury to do with sheep....

39 viewsHeading out the other side now
IMGP0348.JPG
40 viewsJust to prove my point about the tree growth thing

44 viewsAnd for anyone whose interest has been piqued, but can't quite be bothered to actually get off the sofa and go there, I've done you the service of taking a photograph of the official National Trust information board, so you can pretend you've been.

43 viewsFence posts are great, aren't they? Particularly for perching digital cameras on and taking photographs of yourself.

56 viewsThis is a long straight road; it was also the only bit of it I dared take any photos on as the rest was all walled gated properties with scary red & white notices about guard dogs on. I was a bit concerned if I photographed any of them security guards would leap out of the hedge and duff me up.
IMGP0352.JPG
135 viewsThis is the end of the road, back where it joins the real world. Have a read of the sign - how Stepford Wives is that?
IMGP0353.JPG
60 viewsLooking back - even the road has a gate on it!
IMGP0354.JPG
35 viewsMushrooms - don't know what sort, but they'd probably kill you.
IMGP0355.JPG
37 viewsA bit further on - this is all a bit Blair Witch. Or possibly a bit Deliverance. Is that a banjo I can hear?
IMGP0356.JPG
68 viewsThis horse kept looking at me, so I took its photograph. That'll teach it.
